Halotherapy

(aka salt therapy) is an ancient treatment that involves inhaling salt particles. It can be very beneficial for several respiratory conditions. Halotherapy dates way back to the 11th or 12th centuries, when people would visit the natural salt caves of Eastern Europe to heal their ailments and feel better. In the 1840s, Dr. Feliks Boczkowski, a Polish doctor started studying salt’s medicinal properties. He had noticed that while coal miners were plagued with all kinds of respiratory problems, salt miners were emerging with pristine lungs and no health complaints. He published a book on the topic, and only a few years later the first salt clinic was founded in  Poland.

Today you don’t have to leave home to indulge in a salty spa - just add a large chunk of HELO’s Himalayan Salt to the steam - it will take your sauna experience to a whole new and even healthier level. And if you are suffering from coughs or similar respiratory issues, you will we surprised by the effect.
